The USA’s 2026 World Cup run was widely criticized as one of the most embarrassing host performances in modern history. Despite ridiculous hype in the states about the team having championship potential, the USMNT exited in the Round of 16 after losing 1–4 to Belgium. That came after their embarrassing red card fiasco. And as a host, USA served up second rate undersized pitches with weird grass, and come on, Tom Cruise giving an inspirational speech at the final? EMBARRASSING
